Is it absolutely necessary to go to the U.K. to have a good level of English?
I find it very difficult to go to an English- speaking country as often as I would like. What can teachers and students do to have / keep a very good level of English without having to leave their countries?

Some of the most amazing speakers of English I've ever met have been Catalan or Spanish English teachers here in Barcelona, not all of whom have ever been to England.
Partly it could be a natural flair for languages, partly it was studying Phonology at University that did it!
